Having lunch right now!
Good coffee and a nice place to sit and also browse the craft shop and bookstore.Too bad they don't have free wifi. (Only unreliable and insecure #Telus wifi that frequently kicks you off).
What a great local place such a warm, friendly vibe. While you're there you can enjoy the reading nook downstairs or shop for crafts or clothing upstairs. What else could you ask for all under one roof. Definitely recommend it anytime but on a rainy day it's the perfect spot
Amazing store, I loved the vibe of the place especially the book store downstairs
I was blown away how nice I was treated after my dog had broke a table by pulling it because she was scared and she pulled it for a long ways. I went to offer to pay for the table and they were adamant that I did not have to pay and they treated and my dogs so well
Fabulous cafe, great atmosphere, art and the brownie with the caramel sauce was out of this world! We are from away and the impression to us was this is a real community hub with the bookstore and community shop. The service was superb and I am really going to see if they will share the recipe for the brownie.....fingers crossed!
Awesome coffee place with book store and gift shop. Coffee was delicious and so were the baked goods :-)
Nice decor, great food. Had a panini and a feta and spinach pastry. Both very good. The gift/book stores had excellent items for sale. Friendly staff.
Stopped in here a couple times passing though the area. The coffee and baked goods were very good.
Food is good. Prices are kinda high.coffe is good
Classic small west coast town coffee shop. Very hip and cool.
Coffee was good and refills were free. Not much for breakfast though. More of a panini sort of place
Great little coffe shop! Decent coffee and decent selection of savoury and sweet items. I highly recommend the classic breakfast sandwich and the breakfast quiche. Friendly staff and even friendly regulars. Lots of seating. There is also a a book shop attached to it.
Love their Matcha latte :)
Awesome customer service and great food and drinks especially coffee
An incredible coffee shop. Very happy staff, neat artwork and photography on the walls and a bookstore. What more could you ask for?
Love this place! When I cycled to Haida Gwaii a few years ago, everyone said 'you must stop here for coffee'. And I did! Little did I know it also had this amazing bookstore, community vibe and delicious healthy snacks I could put in my saddle bag. Fast forward a few years and I'm back in town and this is the first place I go for a cup of coffee! The people are amazing, scones delicious and of course ... the coffee and hospitality fantastic.
A nice place to have coffee with some local art...
The Cafe Guido is a small bright spot in the otherwise dirty and rundown Port Hardy. Nice little galleries and shops, the cafe has everything you need. A place to feel good.
Amazing coffee!
Great coffee and wonderful staff. Very unique and interesting shop full of good books and places to sit and also explore.
Nice little coffee shop with a bookstore inside it. Friendly staff and a small selection of sandwiches and pastries to go with your coffee. I had the Mexicano. It was good.
Great little cafe. Everything you could ask for in a non franchise coffee shop. Pastries were fresh and the Americano was strong with good crema. This cafe is a usual stop for us when visiting Hardy.
Awesome, coffee, service and treats all day long!
The happening spot in Port Hardy. Good coffee, a delicious pecan roll. Crowded and companionable. The adjacent book store was well curated. Nice browsing.
It's A Nice Place To Hang Out, Get A Cup Of Coffee, Read And Also Buy Some Products And The Service There Is Excellent
This is the best most unique cafe I've ever been to. Get a great coffee or tea, and add lunch or a snack. I highly recommend the sandwiches. You can choose to remain in the café or go explore the book store and gift shop. This is where it is at in Port Hardy.
Cutest little place to grab a coffee and get some work done. Down to earth vibe
Guidos is always good!
Spacious cafe with great vibe. Book store is built in. Had the infinitely delicious breakfast quiche. Removing 1 star because the dry cappuccino took long to prepare and wasn't dry. Very friendly staff. Amazing gallery shop featuring the work of over 100 local artists.
Had the potato soup and a grilled ham sandwich. It had a name, maybe Dante? Both were really tasty. Very friendly service, casual seat yourself atmosphere. Also a book/art store to browse in. Want to go back and take my time to look around.
Been coming in since this place opened and it's never the same store twice; I love it. You can always find incredible gifts by some of the North Islands best artists.
One of the most amazing Pecan rolls I have ever had, yummy
Simple,good coffee.
I came in for a coffee on my lunch break. Its a very hip location for the North Island. Which was a pleasent surprise. The drinks are pretty average priced for a cafe. A little on the expensive side but that's the game. The one thing I wasn't fond of was it was cold. I had to keep my puffer one for the hour I was in there.
my favorite spot to go on the north island! The best bevys, delicious snacks and awesome shops all in 1 spot. A MUST when in Hardy- worth the time up and makes for a nice day trip from CR
Love Guido's so so much, however they switched over to a Telus Internet wifi service that wouldn't send me the proper sign up code so I was unable to use their wifi to study. One of my favourite things to do when I've got assignments due or tests to study for is sit in a nice cafe to focus my mind. Unfortunately, until they get a reliable (usable) internet service I won't be going there for studying.
Good place for a coffee but not so great for a vegan or vegetarian meal. I could only find a vegetarian sandwich called 'Sienna' which was basically a cheese sandwich with some finely chopped vegetables. The Apple Cake was OK. They have a nice seating area though, and a very nice bookshop and gift item shop in the basement with a good collection of art, culture, history and geography of the region, namely northern Vancouver Island and British Columbia.
A place for gift buying, visiting with friends or enjoying a beverage and snack in solitude with a new book.
The best little spot for a caffeine addict in the whole both island. Dirty spicy chais gland mexicanas for life!
Good seafood in a humble spot in downtown Port Hardy.
The coffee is mediocre. Tables are all dirty. 3 girls working behind the counter and not a clean table?!
Best cafe in Port Hardy. Within in it is a bookstore downstairs and a loft upstairs. Worth a visit and a walk around.
It's the best place to get a good coffee in town.
Awesome food, little bookstore and craft space. Absolutely much pop by!
Great customer service. Amazing drinks and gFood
Stopped for a soup and drink. There was also a book store and art gallery here.
Love this place. I only get to come by once in a while when my ship is in town, but the whole concept of the coffee shop with a bookstore and then the art/clothing shop upstairs is great! I've always had nice interactions with people and great times.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
I had the peppermint fog and my daughter had a white hot chocolate. Both were delicious. The coffee shop is cute, clean and overall we were impressed with our drinks. There are some great local art with a range to meet any budget...and they are actually made in Port Hardy and surrounding areas. Our overall experience was great. Will definitely go back. I am from Port Hardy but moved away as a kid. It was nice to see just a great business in town. Highly recommended.
The best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Been all over this planet and had all sorts of different breakfast foods. This one I'll drive back for. The coffee was good as well. Very relaxing atmosphere. It feels as if you've come home after a long deployment and Mom has made all your favorites. There is a book store and small kids play area where you can sit and enjoy your selections. I can't remember the name of the sandwich, it was the only one with pesto so I'm not in panic mode. Very friendly staff too. My wife and I will definitely be back.
